Pablo is a forward for the Minnesota United.He tore his ACL in his left knee. He planted with his left knee and a defender went for the ball and landed on his knee which ultimately forced his knee to buckle, tearing his ACL.

with 13 goals in 2013, Pablo Campos became the all-time leading goal scorer in the modern day North American Soccer League with 49 goals across 3 seasons of play.

“The Return of Pablo” Part 1

Pablo Campos had one of the best preseasons of his career, preparing for the 2014 season. On March 13th, 2014, Pablo tore his ACL during a preseason game. According to their head athletic trainer, Yoshi Ono, he knew immediately that Pablo tore his ACL based of the amount of pain he was in. After a couple of tests on his knee, Yoshi was almost 100% certain that he tore a ligament in his knee. ” Whenever you’re dealing with someone that’s injured, the first thing you want to do is bring a sense of calm and confidence to the room, ” said Dr. Corey Wulf, Minnesota United team physician. Pablo injured his knee playing in England and was unable to retreat home as he had to stick to the team agenda which required their team to stay for another week until heading back home.

In part two, Pablo Campos meets with his orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Christopher Larson, as he undergoes surgery of his torn ACL on his left knee. Dr. Larson talks about his relationship with athletes that undergo surgeries from sports related injuries such as a torn ACL. He states that one of the main questions that athletes as is, “What athlete have you worked on?” b For his reconstructed ACL, Dr. Christopher Larson used the hamstring tendon from Pablo’s hamstring tendon as his new ACL graft.
